Greely Football VP & Youth Director
The Greely football Boosters are excited to announce our new youth football HELMET program!
All youth football players in the Greely Football programs will be provided with new, state of the art, Riddell Speed Football Helmets! This new program is part of our program-wide commitment to player safety. The new helmet program coupled with Greely Football’s use of Head’s Up Football training for all coaches will help to assure that your football player has a fun and safe football season.
To obtain the highest level of safety, all players will be required to participate in the new helmet program. The cost of the program will be $45 for the season. This price is an incredible deal! When a parent considers the purchase price of a new or certified helmet (about $210 for a Riddell Speed), and the fact that most players will need two to three different helmets between 2nd grade and 6th grade, parents typically spend $400 to $600 or more on helmets if they go-it-alone, compared to a total of $225 over 5 years in the helmet program; a savings of $175 to $375 or more over 5 years!
Benefits of this program include:
• Safety, Safety, Safety!
• All players will have high quality helmets.
• Helmets will be fit to players by trained professionals and factory trained coaches.
• Helmets will all have the same parts, so coaches can keep them maintained and adjusted throughout the season.
• Parents do not have to worry about choosing the right helmet.
• No worries about choosing the right size helmet “should I buy it a little big so they can grow into it”?
• No worries about buying a new helmet every year if your player is growing quickly.
• Helmets will be stored, reconditioned, and recertified at the factory at the end of the season.
• Safety, Safety, Safety!
If you are registering for youth football (Grades 2 through 6), the $45 fee will be automatically included as part of your registration.
